Games are the Most Popular Online

There are such a variety of games to play online that there must be something to suit every one. There are games for almost every genre, interest and age group, but of them all it appears that card games are the most popular online. This is because they are relatively simple and you can always add a twist to make them more interesting.
The game David and Goliath is a great twist on an old favourite and no, you do not need to be a bible reader in order to play it. In the pack there are five different coloured suits that are numbered from one to eighteen. These can be shared out exactly amongst six players.
If there are less than six players you remove the highest numbered cards. The first player starts and the next follows suit if he can but plays anything if not. The winner is the person who plays the highest card whichever suit he had played. But here is the interesting bit, although the highest card wins, the person who played the lowest card claims the highest card which is worth its face value in points and the one who played the highest card gets the rest and starts the next round.
Now why is this important? Well you will see when you begin to understand the scoring method. The cards you have taken in each hand are worth one point each, that is, unless you have collected more than two cards of the same suit. If you have then they become worth their face value in points.
So you see, it can be more valuable to play a low card and win the highest card, than it can be to win the whole trick. And this is what everyone tries to do in the game, but you have to be aware of what the other players are doing and anticipate their thinking. It is still a game of chance as you cannot anticipate which cards you will be dealt in the beginning and it seems obvious that cards with numbers from the extremes are the best ones to have. However you can win these during play if you are clever and watch what your neighbour is doing. Remember however, that other game players are doing exactly the same thing in order to catch you out.
Is it a good game? Well yes I think it is worth having a go; it does make you think reason and try to anticipate your neighbour. But it is more a game for adults than a family game. It is more likely to suit a night in with a can of beer that something to get the party going.
